Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation

For more than 35 years, Mercy & Unity Hospitals has given thousands of people a chance for a healthier life. In turn, grateful patients and families have found ways to "give back" to the hospitals and the communities they serve.

Telefundraising

From time to time, the Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation engages in telefundraising campaigns to raise funds for various programs or services at Mercy and Unity hospitals. Beginning in April 2008, we are conducting a telephone campaign to raise financial support for “Take Heart Anoka County.” Anoka County has been chosen as one of four national demonstration sites for the ground breaking “Take Heart America” program, which aims to quadruple the survival rate from cardiac arrest by:

  • providing widespread cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and public education
  • placing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and other automated CPR devices in the community
  • improving professional rescuers’ CPR techniques and deployment of devices, and
  • optimizing hospital care for cardiac arrest patients.

Funds will be used to support these goals in Anoka County and in all of our service areas.

Callers are Allina employees who may ask you to provide a credit card as a means of fulfilling your pledge. You may select this option or others as a means of making a gift. Our pledge to you is that all credit card information is kept confidential; it is never retained and is only used for your one time pledge in the amount of your choosing. We promise you that we never sell or trade any contact information. Fundraising efforts will help to ensure the success of our projects aimed to giving the best care possible to our patients. Thank you in advance for your time speaking with our telefundraisers, and for any support you may give! We appreciate your consideration. If you have any questions, please call Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation at 763-236-8199.

Foundation raises more for community service

Medical technology, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) for Anoka County first responders and medical and nursing scholarships are examples of how Mercy & Unity Hospitals' Foundation spends the money raised from donors and special events.  In 2005, the foundation raised $983,573, a 50 percent increase over 2004.
