Buffalo Hospital’s state-of-the-art Sleep Center is accreditated by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and provides comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment for patients six years and older with a variety of sleep disorders including sleep apnea and narcolepsy. All physicians are certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine and we employee registered sleep technicians. The Buffalo Hospital Sleep Center is affiliated with several area clinics where pediatricians and psychiatrists are on staff.
All sleep studies performed at the Sleep Center are conducted in a comfortable, private bedroom equipped with a queen-sized Sleep Number bed, phone, and color cable television. A full bathroom with shower is available and a Continental breakfast is served daily. Studies are performed six nights a week. If your study shows that you require a
continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, you can go home with it the next morning.
Pediatric sleep studies are performed in a specially decorated pediatric room. Parents are welcome to stay overnight with their child. Personalized tours and demonstrations help children relax and prepare tor the study.
